    Description

    Rare Patented 1853 Antique Victorian Sewing Bird Clamp Double Red Pin Cushion
    This is the original Victorian Sewing Bird evidenced by the word Patented on the right wing and Feb. 15. 1853 on the left wing.
    It is in excellent condition especially considering it is over 150 years old.
    All of the parts are still in working order and it has both pin cushions.
    The clamp was used to hold fabric while hemming.
    The clamp on the bottom is slightly askew which is an easy fix. I did not want to try and bend it back.
    This outstanding item has original patina. The patina appears to be silver plate but could be brass.
